AW 2015-16 Chrysalide | We explore concepts of grandiose human mutation, adaptation, regeneration, all of them are inspired by the inherent intelligence of nature. Chrysalide is the cocoon and pre-birth state of a butterfly in a protected stage of development. Animals construct their architecture based on geographic and climatic influences. Their habitats integrate into the environment. Surprisingly however, this intuitive sixth sense is not always organic in shape, and can also lead to futuristic, ergonomic and aerodynamic dimensions.

Growing and weightlessness can also be found in billowing and inflatable shapes in clothing and architecture. This influences outerwear as well as sleeve shapes. There is a soft, comforting and cocooning appeal to this which is alluring to the wearer.
