PHOTOGRAPHY | With societies going through an unprecedented socio-economic shift in 2020, Photographer Mous Lambrabat captures thought-provoking glimpses into the future by trying to make sense of the world and what defines things as ‘normal’.

CLIMATE CHANGE & GENDER EQUALITY | SHE Changes Climate campaigns for a 50:50 split of men and women in the top levels of the COP26 leadership team. The UK is hosting climate change (COP) talks in 2021 but currently the team is male dominated. That is why it is critical to campaign for placing women at the top level of COP26 leadership team. An open letter including women and diversity champions, Nobel Prize Laureates, Scientists, Heads of Academic Institutions, Politicians, Economists, Business leaders, Environmentalists, Activists, Campaigners, Actors, Artists, Authors and Writers has been sent to the UK Government, calling on them for greater accountability and transparency. Help their campaign go viral by going to @sheclimate #SHEChangesClimate

FOOD | Imagine a world where we could design our own vegetables? The Future Food Formula is an interactive installation created by Chloé Rutzerveld, which allows you to design your personalised future vegetables as a high-tech farmer.

THE THICS OF FUTURING | Defuturing The Image Of The Future looks at the transformation in how the future has been envisioned from ancient times to the 20th Century and how we can make it a more diverse and balanced vision. Our past ways of envisioning the future and the hyper creation of objects and the denial of “minority” cultures have perhaps robbed us of our own futures.

DECOLONISING FASHION | With the recent rise of farmer protests across India, State of Fashion hosted an online event to talk about India’s decolonial approach to land, labour and the the fashion industry.

PERSONAL WELLBEING | This year has been tough to maintain without a doubt. Beauty icons Francisco Costa, Peter Philips and Dr. Barbara share their daily rituals to get us through lockdown by showing us how to create a sanctuary in the natural and decorative elements in our home.

THE PRESSURE OF TECH | The rise of technology has radically shaped the future of wellness through the use of apps offering guided meditations and other health tracking features. With apps tracking our sleep, food in-take, breathing and drinking, will we be under general societal pressure if the individual is not at their peak? Wil private companies and public services start using this data against us?

DEATH & AI | If you could bring back someone as they were, what would you ask them?” Scientist Anil Sebastian uses AI to bring back the dead through artful explorations of consciousness, grief and loss.

THE GAMIFICATION OF EDUCATION | Discontinuity Lab is a digital exploration of leadership, purpose and future possibilities designed by The Future Game for the UNESCO Futures Literacy Summit 10-12 December 2020.. If you explore the entire sitemap, you will also discover a beautiful implementation of gamification which gets you fired up and ready to take one of their courses.
